The launcher comes up fine but the game itself keeps crashing on the opening watermark. It will stutter for a bit, sometimes going for longer other times for shorter, but it will never get past the water mark and always crash. If you suspect the problem is display related you might have luck controlling frame limit or v-sync from your graphics card control panel instead of through the game. Go into Settings, then Downloads and do the following [I don't think the order matters]: Clear Download Cache. Go into Steam Library Folders, find the drive that has Elite Dangerous on it, click the 3 dots and Repair Folder.
